This space rocket cushion has a little pocket on the back to carry the astronaut into space adventures. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). Worked in stockinette, the astronaut and rocket use intarsia colour-work.

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Stylecraft Special Double Knit; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/295m skein in each shade.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, stitch holder, toy filling, black DK yarn to embroider details, buttons for the astronaut.

SIZES
One size only - The rocket is 36cm tall x 25cm wide. The astronaut is 12.5cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
